Travel guide of Cedar Breaks National Monument38 km from Cedar Breaks National Monument
We were on a road trip from Canada down to Arizona and we stopped at every national park that we could find along the way. Utah was amazing! The diversity in landscape was insane. We showed up to Zion without reserving a campsite and luckily we swiped up the last spot. It was a fairly populated campground but waking up to views like this made up for it. This photo was taken just before we started our hike up Observation Point Trail.

Rushed up to the top of Angels Landing in only thirty minutes to make it for sunrise. I thought we would be the only ones up there as this was taken in January, but there were already five others when we arrived. They enjoyed the sunrise to themselves and most of them were not there to shoot. It made me wonder whether this should be one of those sunrises that you simply just enjoy. However, we ended up taking some photos and this was one of them.

An early morning hike to this viewpoint was the best way to see Zion National Park for the first time.

My girlfriend and I were hiking Zion National Park. There was this small space we had to walk through. Before she went off ahead I made sure I grabbed this shot.

We were on our way up Angel’s Landing at Zion National Park in Utah. It felt like the hike would never end but looking up to our final 0.5 miles was breathtaking and mesmerizing. This is what I saw.

That day was just crazy. We slept in the car at 40 degree outside and it was so difficul to breath in the morning that we had to wake up early. We had to do three park in a day: Bryce, Zion and finaly coral sand dune. The walk was short and we arrive in the middle of an observatory that was really high. Really scary, but worth it.

Sand dunes of different sizes pile up and already now offer a great view. The wind sweeping over the dunes literally makes the sand dance in the sun and creates a very special atmosphere. We like it right away! The dunes are gradually bathed in an increasingly beautiful light as the sun sinks deeper and deeper behind them-while the sand shines golden yellow at the beginning, it shimmers a little later in delicate pink. We just let ourselves drift here, take a walk here and there and enjoy the relaxed and calm atmosphere. Simply a dreamlike conclusion for another beautiful day in the southwest!

This was taken on one of the stops on a 28 day 10,000 mile roadtrip a couple buddies and I took around the US right after undergrad graduation. This is one of my favorite spots, getting to sit on the edge with my feet hanging over a huge drop down into the river as the sunset put a beautiful red/orange glow on the rock around us was incredible.

These mystical hodos leave you in amazement. This isolated gem puts you in complete isolation and silence. It’s a truly stunning place to take a half hour and reflect. Is it in Arizona, or Utah? Depends on who you ask, but who cares :). It’s awesome.

We saw this little canyon from the car and walked up to explore. It was simply amazing. It didn’t go too far back, but far enough that it was pretty isolated from the main canyon where the road was. As I was walking out I saw the treeless branches against the fall color and knew I had to capture it with the reflected light of the rocks. Southern Utah is one of the most fascinating places on the planet. I return every year.

From the bridge over Marble Canyon on US 89A we could see the storm blowing off the top of the mesa above the Vermillion Cliffs. Within ten minutes the storm arrived with rain and wind - even a little hail.
